Santa was good. I got a Taylormade Burner, 9.5°, stiff flex; a
Taylormade Mezza Monza putter; and tonight I just picked up a Ping
Tour-W 56°/10 wedge that is sweet. I need to get to the range/course
and try out my new toys.

Course Time - 12-1-2007
I shot a typical round Saturday (111), but I had my personal best for 9 on the front 9 (50). This gives me encouragement. Driver was way off. Irons were working pretty well.
Range Work - 12-3-2007
I "lost my driver" for a couple of weeks. I was not hitting it well at all. I seemed to be topping the ball or something. Seems I was setting the ball too far forward in my stance (even with the inside of my left foot). I've since moved it to about even with my left arm pit and now I'm pounding it like I used to. Yardage is good (280+) and it's arrow straight.
Iron work went well. I really worked on my aim since I've been striking the ball better. I'd say about 50% of the time I was hitting within my target area.
Chipping and putting really stuck it to me last round on the course. I 3-putted way too many holes and hit too many chips thin and over the green. Time for some serious short game work. Of course, mother nature may have a say in that...
